About the Role

We are an emerging small-scale manufacturing enterprise launching a professional-grade consumer and industrial chemical product line (focusing on car care products, specialized surface cleaners, and detergents). We are seeking a hands-on Formulation Chemist to take ownership of our product matrix from bench chemistry to small-scale production.

This role begins as a short-term project to dial in formulations and establish our workspace, with an immediate transition into a permanent operational leadership role overseeing small-scale manufacturing once production goes live.

Key Responsibilities

Formulation & Optimization: Finalize and stabilize water-based emulsions, surfactants, thickeners, and cleaning formulations. Conduct bench-scale trials to test viscosity, pH, and shelf-life stability.
Lab Setup & Sourcing: Help set up a compact testing laboratory and source reliable raw material suppliers locally.
Production Oversight: Scale bench recipes up to small-scale production batches and oversee manufacturing quality control (QA/QC) upon permanent transition.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: BSc or MSc in Applied Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in product formulation (cosmetics, detergents, or chemical emulsion manufacturing).
Mindset: Practical, resourceful, and capable of translating lab-scale formulas into small-scale factory realities.
