Bible Study Tutor Opportunity, For Children Aged 10–14

We are seeking a responsible and knowledgeable Bible Study Tutor to provide structured, age-appropriate Bible lessons for two children between the ages of 10 and 14.

- Assignment Details

The tutor will conduct home-based Bible study sessions three times per week throughout the Ethiopian summer.

Each session will last two hours and will include a 10-minute break midway through the session.

The tutor will be responsible for preparing a structured course plan or syllabus appropriate for the children’s ages and level of understanding. The course content should be grounded in the Protestant Christian Bible and its teachings.

- Session Content

Each Bible study session should include:

* Reading and recitation of selected Bible chapters by both the tutor and the children

* Clear, age-appropriate explanations of the passages

* Guided discussions and question-and-answer sessions

* Practical lessons and applications drawn from the passages

* Assignments or reading activities to be completed before the next session

- End-of-Summer Assessment

At the end of the summer programme, the tutor will prepare an assessment to evaluate the children’s understanding of the material covered.

The assessment may include:

* 40–50 open-ended questions

* Bible story retelling

* Short-answer exercises

* Essay-writing assignments based on the lessons covered during the summer

- Candidate Requirements

Applicants should:

* Have a strong knowledge and understanding of the Bible in both Amharic and English

* Be fluent in both spoken and written Amharic and English

* Have previous teaching, tutoring, Sunday school, youth ministry, or other relevant experience

* Be a high school senior or currently enrolled college or university student

* Be able to communicate biblical teachings clearly and appropriately to children

* Be patient, dependable, well-organized, and comfortable working with children

* Live in Addis Ababa, preferably around Mexico, Merkato, Lideta, or nearby areas
