Job Description

The Cashier is responsible for handling daily cash and bank transactions, receiving and issuing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance department in ensuring proper cash management and documentation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Receive payments from customers and issue official receipts.
Process cash, cheque, and bank transactions accurately.
Maintain daily cash books and transaction records.
Prepare daily cash collection and payment reports.
Deposit company funds into designated bank accounts as instructed.
Maintain petty cash and ensure proper documentation of expenditures.
Verify supporting documents before processing payments.
Reconcile daily cash balances and report discrepancies immediately.
File and maintain financial documents and receipts systematically.
Assist the accounting department during audits and financial reviews.
Follow company financial policies and internal control procedures.
Perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Good knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Honest, trustworthy, and organized.
