Position: Accountant

Company:ND Furniture

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Salary: 11,000 ETB NET

Working Hours: As per previous company schedule (On-site)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to manage daily financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate financial records across our business activities. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping skills, experience with local tax regulations, and proficiency in financial software.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date ledgers, journal entries, and daily financial transactions.

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Monitor cash flow, track client payments, and manage vendor invoices efficiently.

Tax Compliance: Prepare and process monthly tax declarations (VAT, withholding tax, employment tax) in strict accordance with Ethiopian tax laws and ERCA regulations.

Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, cash accounts, and point-of-sale transactions daily/weekly.

Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and expense reports for management review.

Inventory & Costing: (If applicable) Work alongside the production/warehouse teams to track inventory costs, asset valuations, and raw material expenses.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: BA Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in trading, manufacturing, or hospitality sectors.

Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Peachtree/Sage Accounting software, ERP systems, and Advanced MS Excel.
