Accountant & Legal Liaison

Job Summary

Responsible for managing daily bookkeeping, handling monthly tax compliance, and executing field errands for legal and administrative matters.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping: Maintain daily expense logs, petty cash, client invoices, receipts, and basic financial records.

Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit monthly tax declarations (VAT, TOT, Withholding, Payroll Tax) on time.

Government & Legal Errands: Visit government offices to handle trade license renewals, tax filings, legal documentation, and official permits.

Banking: Perform routine bank transactions, collect bank statements, and process payments.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Skills:

Good understanding of Ethiopian tax laws and filing procedures.

Proficiency in accounting software (Peachtree/QuickBooks) and MS Excel.

Strong communication skills for dealing with official institutions.

Attributes: Reliable, honest, and comfortable doing field work around the city.

Experience: Prior experience in accounting combined with administrative/legal field work is preferred.
