Job Summary:
The Junior Cashier is responsible for handling daily cash transactions, issuing receipts, maintaining accurate cash records, and supporting the Finance Department in routine cashiering activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Collect payments from customers and issue receipts accurately.
Handle cash, card, and other approved payment transactions.
Maintain daily cash and transaction records.
Prepare and reconcile daily cash collections.
Maintain petty cash and related supporting documents.
Prepare cash collection reports and submit them to the Finance Officer.
Ensure all transactions are properly documented and authorized.
Safeguard cash, receipts, and financial documents.
Assist with tax receipts and cash register-related activities.
Report cash shortages, overages, or discrepancies immediately.
Perform other finance-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Specification

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

0–2 years of relevant cashier or finance experience.

Experience in a healthcare organization, hospital, clinic, pharmacy, or medical center is an advantage.
