About the Position

Sacon Trading PLC is looking for an experienced and results-oriented Import & Export Head

to lead and manage the company’s international trade operations, including export, import,

international sourcing, logistics coordination, documentation, and customer/supplier

relationships.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient international trade

operations while supporting the company’s growth in export markets and import business.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage daily import and export operations.

Develop and manage international customers, suppliers, and business partners.

Identify and develop new export markets and business opportunities.

Coordinate product sourcing, availability, quality, packing, and shipment readiness.

Manage international shipping and logistics from order confirmation through delivery.

Prepare and coordinate import/export documentation, including:

o Proforma Invoice

o Commercial Invoice

o Packing List

o Certificate of Origin

o Import/Export permits

o Customs and shipping documents

Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, airlines, shipping agents, and other service providers.

Monitor freight costs, logistics expenses, and overall shipment profitability.

Negotiate with suppliers, customers, logistics providers, and other business partners.

Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely delivery.

Ensure compliance with applicable import/export requirements and company procedures.

Track export and import costs, margins, and transaction performance.

Prepare regular reports on international trade activities, sales, shipments, costs, and challenges.

Work closely with Sourcing, Packing House, Finance, Sales, and Quality teams to ensure

smooth operations.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

3–5 years of relevant experience in import/export, international trade, logistics, or fresh produce trading.

Practical knowledge of import/export procedures and international shipping.

Strong understanding of trade documentation and customs procedures.

Experience working with freight forwarders, airlines, shipping companies, and customs authorities.

Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Good knowledge of Excel and other business management tools.

Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple shipments, and meet deadlines.

Experience in fresh produce, agricultural products, food trading, or FMCG will be an advantage.
