About the Role

Benod Consulting Architects & Engineers is looking for an efficient and creative Junior Cameraman / Videographer to support the content production of our Benod Interiors and Benod Furniture channels.

We are looking for someone with a good visual eye who understands how to capture interesting and useful footage, rather than simply operating a camera. You will work closely with our video editor and creative team to film content at our office, furniture workshop, interior projects, construction sites, and other locations.

The role can be structured as either part-time or permanent, depending on the candidate and our production needs, with a monthly payment arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

Film social media and marketing content for Benod Interiors and Benod Furniture.
Accompany the team to interior project sites, construction sites, furniture workshops, and other locations to capture content.
Film behind-the-scenes footage, project progress, furniture production, installations, and completed projects.
Assist with filming planned content and studio-style productions.
Work closely with the video editor to ensure footage is properly captured and suitable for editing.
Understand basic framing, composition, lighting, camera movement, and shot selection.
Capture both planned shots and spontaneous moments that can be turned into engaging content.
Help organize and transfer footage for the editing workflow.
Suggest creative shots, angles, and ideas when filming.
Be flexible and ready to work in different environments, including offices, workshops, construction sites, and outdoor locations.

Required Skills

Previous experience in videography, filmmaking, content creation, or a similar role.
A good eye for composition, framing, lighting, and interesting visual details.
Basic understanding of cameras and video equipment.
Ability to capture stable, well-composed footage.
Understanding of what makes content engaging for social media.
Ability to work efficiently with a video editor and follow a content production workflow.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to travel with the team to different project and workshop locations.

Equipment

Having your own decent camera or smartphone capable of producing good-quality video is an advantage.

For larger or more professional studio productions, additional cameras and equipment may be rented when required. Therefore, applicants do not necessarily need to own a complete professional camera setup.

Work will take place at our office in Ayertena, as well as project sites, workshops, and other filming locations.

Location Preference

Our office is located around Ayertena, Addis Ababa. We strongly prefer candidates who live in Ayertena or nearby areas and can easily commute to the office and accompany the team to filming locations.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who is efficient, creative, observant, reliable, and comfortable working on the move. You don’t have to be an expert cinematographer, but you should have a strong visual sense, understand how to capture good footage, and be willing to learn and improve with our team.
