Job Title: Key Account Sales

Position Summary

We are looking for a hunter-minded Key Account Sales professional to drive new business acquisition and revenue expansion within our top-tier enterprise accounts. Unlike a traditional Account Manager who primarily maintains existing relationships, this role is heavily weighted toward prospecting, negotiating, and closing new logos, as well as identifying untapped opportunities within existing high-value portfolios. You will be the tip of the spear for our most complex, high-stakes sales cycles.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development (60-70%)

Identify, target, and secure new enterprise-level accounts through outbound prospecting, networking, and strategic cold outreach (C-level and VP-level).
Build and manage a robust sales pipeline of high-value opportunities, consistently exceeding quarterly new-business quotas.
Conduct deep discovery to map client pain points to our solution, differentiating value against competitors.

Strategic Account Growth (30-40%)

For a select group of existing key accounts, identify expansion opportunities (cross-selling and up-selling) beyond the current scope of work.
Develop strategic account plans that outline both acquisition targets and growth milestones for existing partners.

Sales Process & Negotiation

Lead complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations involving legal, procurement, and C-suite decision-makers.
Prepare and present high-impact proposals, ROI models, and business cases tailored to each client’s strategic objectives.
Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract signature, using CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track all activities.

Market Intelligence

Monitor industry trends, competitor movements, and market conditions to identify new revenue streams.
Provide feedback to product/marketing teams on client needs and competitive differentiators.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

New Logo Acquisition: Number of new enterprise clients closed per quarter.
Revenue Quota: % of new business revenue target achieved.
Pipeline Velocity: Time from first contact to closed-won for key targets.
Average Contract Value (ACV) of newly signed deals.
Upsell Rate within assigned existing accounts.
