The English Language Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging English language lessons that develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. The teacher creates a positive learning environment that promotes academic achievement, critical thinking, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality English language lessons aligned with the curriculum.
Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and classroom activities that meet diverse learning needs.
Assess students' language proficiency through assignments, quizzes, examinations, and classroom participation.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.
Encourage students to develop confidence in using English for academic and everyday communication.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into classroom instruction.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development programs, and school events.
Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
Ensure compliance with school policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in English, English Language Teaching, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
Teaching certification or license (where required).
TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certification is an advantage.
Previous teaching experience is preferred.
