We are looking for a skilled Video Editor to work on both long-form YouTube videos and short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

The main project will involve editing personal/business-style YouTube content with a strong focus on storytelling, entertainment, emotion, pacing, and viewer retention.

This is not basic talking-head editing. We are looking for someone who understands how to take raw footage and turn it into a polished, engaging YouTube video that keeps viewers interested from beginning to end.

Responsibilities

Edit long-form YouTube videos
Create strong pacing and storytelling from raw footage
Use music and sound effects effectively
Add clean subtitles, text animations, graphics, zooms, and visual effects when appropriate
Highlight funny, emotional, surprising, and important moments
Build suspense and anticipation throughout the video
Remove unnecessary sections and improve overall flow
Identify strong moments from long-form footage and turn them into TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Create short-form edits with strong hooks, captions, pacing, and retention

What We Are Looking For

Previous experience editing YouTube content
Strong understanding of storytelling and viewer retention
Good comedic and emotional timing
Strong music and sound-design skills
Ability to follow references and detailed editing instructions
Ability to communicate clearly and meet deadlines
Attention to detail
Creative judgment — knowing when to add effects and when to keep an edit simple

Preferred

Experience editing both YouTube long-form content and TikTok/Reels/Shorts is highly preferred.

Applicants should be comfortable working with personal, lifestyle, business, and entertainment-style content.
