Nexus Academy is a project-based tech academy preparing the next generation of software engineers through live, hands-on learning—not passive video courses.

We're looking for an experienced Backend Engineering Mentor to lead our 12-week Modern Backend Development Bootcamp.

You'll teach students how to build and deploy a production-ready SaaS backend while mentoring them through real-world software engineering practices. Your mission is to deliver engaging live sessions, review code, mentor students, and help them graduate with a portfolio they're proud of.

What You'll Teach
Students will build one evolving production-grade backend application using modern technologies, including:

➵ JWT Authentication & Refresh Tokens

➵ Email Services with Nodemailer
➵ Swagger/OpenAPI Documentation
➵ Testing with Jest & Supertest
➵ Deployment using Render or Railway
➵ Git & GitHub Workflow
➵ Docker Fundamentals
➵ AI Integration using OpenAI or Google Gemini APIs

Students will finish the program with a deployed backend API, complete documentation, production-ready code, and an AI-powered feature integrated into their application.
