About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Video Editing Instructor to join our team and train aspiring creatives in industry-standard video production and post-production techniques. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, practical industry experience, and the ability to deliver engaging, hands-on training sessions that prepare students for real-world projects and freelance opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver practical and interactive video editing classes to students of varying skill levels.
Teach video editing concepts including storytelling, pacing, transitions, audio synchronization, color correction, and motion graphics.
Train students using industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects,
Develop lesson plans, assignments, projects, and assessments aligned with the course curriculum.
Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to support student growth and portfolio development.
Monitor student attendance, participation, and performance.
Support students in completing capstone projects and building professional portfolios.
Stay updated with current video editing trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
Submit regular class reports and collaborate with the academic team to improve course delivery.
Participate in workshops, events, and promotional activities when required.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in video editing and post-production.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
Experience with color grading, audio editing, and motion graphics is highly desirable.
Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience is an advantage.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to simplify complex concepts and deliver engaging practical sessions.
Portfolio demonstrating professional or freelance video editing work.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Multimedia, Media Studies, Digital Arts, or related fields is preferred.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of cinematography and video production workflows.
Experience with YouTube content creation, social media content editing, and short-form video production.
Experience in freelance marketplaces and client project management is an added advantage.
