Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven HR and Administration Manager to lead our human resources and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will align HR strategies with our multi-sector trade objectives, managing workforce needs across import-export logistics, technical support, and commercial operations while fostering a productive, collaborative workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Management

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding across specialized import-export and technical roles.

• Develop competitive employee compensation packages and benefits programs aligned with market trends.

• Establish and enforce HR policies to ensure compliance with Ethiopian labour laws and organizational standards.

• Promote a positive workplace culture by resolving employee grievances and managing disciplinary actions effectively.

• Collaborate with executive leadership on workforce planning and organizational development strategies.

• Conduct performance evaluations and support managers in implementing performance improvement plans.

• Organize and oversee employee training programs to foster professional growth and technical capability.

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR data.

• Design and implement employee engagement and retention strategies to reduce turnover.

Administrative Management

• Oversee daily office operations, facilities, logistics support, and office supply management.

• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for administrative, facilities, and maintenance services.

• Coordinate company events, commercial meetings, and domestic or international travel arrangements.

• Implement and monitor workplace health and safety policies across office and operational locations.

• Support corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives aligned with company goals.

• Ensure strict adherence to the company's code of conduct across all departments.

Financial Collaboration

• Partner with the finance team to manage HR and administrative budgets.

• Oversee payroll administration, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and timely salary payments.

• Analyze financial reports to align HR strategies with organizational financial goals.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of HR experience

Skills & Knowledge

• In-depth knowledge of Ethiopian labour laws and HR best practices.

• Experience managing human resources within import-export, trading, logistics, or commercial sectors is highly desirable.

• Strong leadership skills with a commitment to fostering inclusivity and teamwork.

• Expertise in strategic workforce planning and data-driven HR decision-making.

• Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and payroll oversight.

• Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and excel in a fast-paced, multi-industry environment.
