What the work actually involves

Building production web applications in React, working to API contracts agreed with the backend engineer in your team.
Implementing maker-checker approval flows, role-based access control and audit trails. These are regulatory requirements under our licence, not optional features.
Building KYC/KYB document review workflows, including versioned document handling and approval states.
Building data-dense interfaces properly: server-side pagination, filtering, sorting, bulk actions and export at real data volumes.
Designing forms with genuine validation — where a mistyped amount or account number is caught before it becomes a transaction.
Handling real API behaviour: loading states, partial failure, retries, stale data and optimistic update rollback.
Supporting multilingual interfaces across English, Amharic, Afaan Oromo and Somali, including Ethiopic script rendering.

Technical skills required

Strong React with production experience at meaningful scale.
Strong JavaScript and T ypeScript, plus solid HTML and CSS fundamentals.
State management in a large application, and knowing when a global store is the wrong answer.
Data fetching, caching and synchronisation patterns.
Component architecture and reusable design system work.
Performance: rendering optimisation, virtualised lists, bundle size.
Accessibility and keyboard-first interaction design for operational users.
Git and code review discipline.
