Key Responsibilities

Content Creation: Research, verify, and write news stories in Amharic, ensuring they are culturally relevant and optimized for a digital audience.

Scriptwriting: Adapt news into engaging YouTube-style scripts with clear hooks, storytelling narratives, and platform-optimized calls to action.

News Presentation: Record quality audio versions of the news stories with professional delivery, clear pronunciation, and high energy.

Collaboration: Work with the production team to align content with the channel’s editorial vision and publishing schedule.

Requirements

Fluent Amharic: Exceptional written and spoken Amharic, with a deep understanding of Ethiopian cultural nuances and current events.

Journalistic Skills: Proven ability to source news, fact-check, and maintain objective reporting standards.

Punctuality: Ability to work under tight deadlines to ensure news remains timely.

Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in journalism, radio, or as a YouTube content creator is a significant plus.
