Position: Site Engineer
Department: Construction / Project Operations
Work Location: Project sites and company office as assigned
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of relevant site experience
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: ETB 15,000 net per month
Reports To: Project Manager / Construction Manager / Management

1. Position Summary

We are looking for a qualified and responsible Site Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of practical construction site experience. The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising daily site activities, coordinating workers and subcontractors, checking work quality, ensuring that construction is carried out according to drawings and specifications, and reporting site progress to management.

The ideal candidate should be technically strong, organized, honest, disciplined, able to read drawings, solve site problems, communicate clearly, and manage work on site with accountability.

2. Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Site Engineer will be responsible for:

A. Site Supervision

B. Drawing and Technical Coordination

C. Quantity and Material Control

D. Quality Control

E. Site Reporting

F. Coordination and Communication

3. Required Qualifications

The candidate should have:

· BSc Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology and Management

· Minimum 2 years of practical construction site experience.

· Good understanding of building construction works.

· Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.

· Basic quantity measurement and site reporting skills.

· Good communication and coordination ability.

· Ability to manage workers and subcontractors.

· Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.

· AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.

4. Required Technical Skills

The Site Engineer should be able to:

· Read construction drawings.

· Check site dimensions and levels.

· Understand BOQ items and construction specifications.

· Supervise concrete, masonry, plastering, tiling, painting, waterproofing, and finishing works.

· Check reinforcement, formwork, and concrete works.

· Prepare material requests.

· Verify completed works.

· Prepare daily and weekly reports.

· Identify site problems and propose practical solutions.

5. Required Personal Qualities

The candidate must be:

· Honest and responsible

· Punctual and disciplined

· Strong in follow-up

· Able to work under pressure

· Clear in communication

· Willing to learn and accept correction

· Able to lead workers respectfully

· Careful with materials and company property

· Able to report problems early instead of hiding them

6. Key Performance Expectations

The Site Engineer will be evaluated based on:

· Quality of site supervision

· Accuracy of site reports

· Timely material requests

· Proper control of manpower and subcontractors

· Ability to prevent rework

· Site discipline and safety awareness

· Communication with management

· Ability to solve site problems

· Attendance and punctuality

· Honesty and accountability
