We are looking for a skilled Frontend Engineer who is passionate about performance, user experience, and scalable architecture.

As a Frontend Engineer at Afriwork, you will take ownership of critical user-facing applications and internal tools. You will be instrumental in building high-performance interfaces and work closely with our engineering and product teams to architect solutions that are both robust and intuitive.

Key Responsibilities

Build and Scale: Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance, server-side rendered web applications entirely in Nuxt.js.
Feature Development: Lead the frontend development of complex UI features and robust internal admin dashboards.
Performance Optimization: Ensure our applications are fast, responsive, and optimized for various network conditions and devices.
Code Quality: Write clean, modular, and strongly-typed code. Participate in code reviews and contribute to our automated CI/CD deployment pipelines.
Collaboration: Partner with backend engineers to integrate GraphQL APIs and ensure smooth data flow across our services.

Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years of professional frontend development experience, with a strong portfolio of shipped products.
Core Framework: Deep expertise in Nuxt.js (Nuxt 3 & 4) as your primary development environment.
Strict Requirement: Proven, extensive experience writing production-grade code in TypeScript.
GraphQL Integration: Deep experience consuming and optimizing GraphQL APIs within a Nuxt ecosystem.
Web Fundamentals: Mastery of modern HTML5 and CSS3/SCSS.
Architecture: Proven ability to build component-driven architectures, manage complex frontend routing, and handle server-side rendering nuances.
Tooling: Familiarity with Git, modern build tools (Vite), and testing frameworks (Vitest).
Containerization & Deployment: Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments. You must be comfortable managing modern deployment workflows and ensuring the frontend integrates seamlessly with our automated CI/CD pipelines.
