Key Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and counsel on business, corporate, commercial, and operational matters.
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, agreements, MOUs, LOIs, NDAs, partnership agreements, and other legal documents.
Advise management on Business Law, Corporate Law, Contract Law, Commercial Law, Labor Law, Construction Law, and Investment Law.
Ensure company activities comply with applicable Ethiopian laws, regulations, licenses, and regulatory requirements.
Handle legal matters related to construction, real estate, procurement, employment, investments, partnerships, and commercial transactions.
Identify legal and commercial risks and provide practical solutions to protect the company's interests.
Support dispute resolution, claims, negotiations, and litigation when required.
Conduct legal research and prepare professional legal opinions and recommendations.
Liaise with government authorities, clients, contractors, suppliers, investors, and external legal counsel.
Required Qualifications & Skills
LLB/LLM in Law from a recognized university.
Strong knowledge and practical experience in Business Law and Commercial Law — REQUIRED.
Knowledge of Corporate, Contract, Investment, Construction, Labor, Procurement, and Real Estate Law.
3–5+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in corporate/business environments.
Strong contract drafting, legal review, negotiation, and legal research skills.
Excellent English and Amharic communication and writing skills.
Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital legal research tools.
Experience in construction, real estate, investment, infrastructure, or international business is highly preferred.
Ability to work independently
