Clinical & Patient Care

· Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including visual acuity, refraction, binocular vision, and ocular health assessment.

· Provide accurate prescriptions based on clinical findings and patient needs.

· Identify abnormal ocular conditions and appropriately refer patients for further medical assessment.

· Explain examination findings, prescriptions, lens options, eye-care recommendations, and follow-up requirements clearly to patients.

· Handle clinical complaints and prescription-related concerns professionally and promptly.

· Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient records.

Quality Control

· Verify that finished spectacles meet the prescribed specifications before delivery, including lens power, frame and overall quality.

· Investigate prescription or fitting errors and ensure corrective action is taken.

· Ensure clinical equipment is properly used, maintained, and reported when malfunctioning.

· Monitor compliance with professional standards.

Team Leadership & Development

· Supervise and support optometrist and clinical staff.

· Conduct regular coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training.

· Review clinical performance and identify competency gaps.

· Ensure consistent examination and prescription standards across the clinical team.

· Evaluate the optometrist performance and recommend improvement actions where necessary.

· Review the clinic performance and provide feedback & recommendation for improvements.

Operational & Business Support

· Monitor daily examination volume, prescription rate, conversion, patient complaints, and other clinical KPIs.

· Work closely with the Marketing & Sales Team to improve the patient experience and prescription-to-glass conversion while maintaining professional integrity.

· Support & participate & coordinate marketing campaigns, corporate/college/school eye-screening activities, and other ECC initiatives when required.

· Actively participate in social media and digital and traditional marketing activities.

· Provide management with recommendations for improving clinical quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, and revenue performance.
