Role Overview

We’re looking for a high-level English content writer who deeply understands video content creation, storytelling, and scriptwriting. This person actively studies storytelling frameworks, copywriting, and audience psychology, and knows how to turn ideas into narratives that hold attention from the first line to the last.

This is not a traditional blog role. This is a video-first storytelling position, focused on creating long-form video scripts for YouTube and premium media, then intelligently repurposing that content into short-form video scripts and written articles.

You’ll work closely with the founder, producers, editors, and graphics team to develop 4–5 strong content ideas per week, shaping them into clear, emotionally engaging stories designed for global audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Content Ideation & Story Development

Develop 4–5 high-quality video ideas per week
Shape raw ideas into strong story structures (hook → development → insight → payoff)
Research topics when needed to add depth, clarity, and accuracy
Apply storytelling and copywriting principles to improve retention and engagement

Scriptwriting & Narrative Execution

Write long-form video scripts optimized for spoken delivery
Write strong hooks, openings, transitions, and endings
Adapt tone and structure for different content styles (documentary, explainer, reflective, narrative)
Ensure clarity, emotional flow, and pacing throughout each script

Content Repurposing & Adaptation

Turn completed video scripts into well-structured blog articles
Break one long-form script into 3–4 short-form scripts (≈60 seconds each)
Maintain the same core story while restructuring each short to stand alone as a complete mini-narrative
Support consistency across long-form, short-form, and written content

Collaboration & Workflow

Work closely with the founder to refine ideas and scripts
Collaborate with producers, editors, and designers to align story and visuals
Revise scripts based on feedback (Version 1 → Version 2)
Meet deadlines consistently and communicate clearly

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

Excellent English writing skills (native or near-native)
Strong understanding of video storytelling and scriptwriting
Proven experience in content writing, copywriting, or narrative writing
Ability to write for spoken language, not just text
Clear understanding of pacing, emotional beats, and audience attention
Comfortable working with feedback and iterative revisions

Nice-to-Have

Experience writing for YouTube, documentaries, or digital media
Familiarity with short-form content (Shorts, Reels, TikTok)
Background in journalism, creative writing, marketing, or media
Interest in culture, history, business, or storytelling-driven content

Work Structure

Remote-first role
May be required to work in-person 1–2 days per week depending on needs
All meetings (individual and group) are conducted online
Flexible work hours with clear weekly deliverables
Fast-paced, creative environment with high standards

Weekly Output Expectations

4–5 video ideas per week
Long-form scripts for approved ideas
Short-form scripts derived from long-form content
Blog articles adapted from video scripts
Participation in weekly planning or review sessions
