We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Finance Officer / Accountant to manage the company’s day-to-day financial transactions, accounting records, reporting, and financial documentation. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial processing, compliance with company procedures and applicable financial requirements, and timely financial reporting to management.

Key Responsibilities
1. Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting records.
2. Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment requests, and other financial documents.
3. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
4. Prepare Weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
5. Reconcile bank accounts, cash balances, and other financial records.
6. Monitor company expenses and ensure proper documentation and authorization.
6. Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and other financial activities.
7. Assist with payroll preparation and related financial records.
8. Monitor cash flow and support effective cash management.
9. Prepare tax-related documents and support timely tax filings and payments.
10. Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
11. Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documents and information.
12. Ensure financial transactions comply with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
13. Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
14. Provide financial information and reports to management when required.
15. Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Relevant professional accounting experience is preferred.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Ethiopian tax and accounting requirements.
Experience with accounting software/ERP systems.
Strong Excel skills, including formulas and financial reporting.
Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
Strong integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
