The Junior Accountant will support the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting in day-to-day accounting operations within a fast-paced logistics and distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

Record daily financial transactions (invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries)
Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts regularly
Support in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Track and verify logistics-related expenses (transportation, fuel, warehouse costs, etc.)
Assist in inventory cost tracking and valuation in coordination with operations team
Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments
Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records
Support payroll processing and staff expense reimbursements
Assist during internal and external audits
Ensure compliance with company financial policies and local accounting standards

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
0–2 years of experience (internships included)
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, QuickBooks, or ERP systems is a plus)
Strong Excel skills (data entry, basic formulas, reconciliation)
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
Good communication and teamwork skills
