About the Role

We’re looking for an organised, people-focused Rental Account Manager to own Hoblen’s rental business end to end. You will be the single point of contact for both sides of every rental — helping renters and guests find and move into the right verified home, and helping landlords and property owners list, fill, and manage their properties with confidence.

This is a hands-on role that combines account management, property onboarding, and tenant support. You’ll source and onboard new landlords, audit their properties against Hoblen’s standards, match them with qualified renters, coordinate check-ins and handovers, and stay responsive whenever a tenant or landlord needs help.

What You’ll Do

• Own the relationship on both sides. Serve as the main point of contact for renters, guests, landlords, and property owners, keeping every party informed and every rental moving forward.

• Guide renters to the right home. Understand each renter’s budget, location, and move-in date, shortlist verified properties, arrange viewings, and guide them through the rental agreement, deposit, and move-in process.

• Audit and verify every property. Carry out physical site audits using Hoblen’s checklists — including water supply, backup power, Wi-Fi, and general condition — capture photos and geolocation, and collect and submit ownership and compliance documents for internal review.

• Coordinate check-ins and handovers. Monitor the Hoblen dispatch board, send renters and guests pre-arrival instructions such as directions, gate access, and Wi-Fi details, confirm check-ins are completed on time, and trigger landlord payout releases.

• Resolve issues fast. Handle tenant and landlord support requests in Amharic and English, coordinate utility, access, or maintenance issues with building managers and owners, and arrange relocations when required by standard procedures.

• Follow up and retain. Perform outbound follow-up calls whenever a post-stay or post-move-in rating falls below 4/5, act on feedback, and work with landlords to keep occupancy and satisfaction high.

• Keep the pipeline clean and contribute to strategy. Manage renters, landlords, and listings in the Hoblen Portal and CRM, support payments through Telebirr and CBE Birr merchant dashboards, and take part in weekly planning reviews to track targets and share field insights.

Training & Evaluation

• Complete training covering Hoblen’s standard operating procedures, local regulatory constraints, and brand values.

• Learn the full software stack, including the Hoblen Portal, CRM, and Telebirr/CBE Birr merchant dashboards.

• Shadow experienced team members on property audits, tenant viewings, check-ins, and simulated outage and payout-dispute scenarios before working independently.

• Pass a live readiness audit and practical assessment with a minimum score of 90% prior to active deployment.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree or diploma in Business, Hospitality, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in property management, rentals, hospitality, customer support, field sales, or account management. Fresh graduates with strong internship or field experience are encouraged to apply.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills in both Amharic and English., Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, comfortable managing multiple properties, tenants, and documents at once.

• Comfortable with CRM tools and digital payment platforms, or quick to learn them.

• Willingness to conduct daily field visits across Addis Ababa and to be reachable outside standard hours for urgent tenant issues on a rotating basis; based in, or willing to relocate to, Addis Ababa.
