We are looking for a motivated and organized Logistics & Supply Chain Officer to join our team and support our day-to-day logistics, inventory, purchasing, and product delivery operations.

Job Summary

The Logistics & Supply Chain Officer will assist in coordinating the movement of products from suppliers to the company and, ultimately, to customers. The role will involve supporting purchasing, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, order fulfillment, and delivery operations.

The ideal candidate should be organized, responsible, detail-oriented, and able to coordinate effectively with suppliers, delivery partners, and internal teams. Knowledge of Ethiopian import and export processes is an advantage and will be particularly valuable as the company expands its sourcing and international trade activities.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate the movement and delivery of products from suppliers to the company and customers.
Assist with purchasing and product sourcing activities.
Monitor product availability and help maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Coordinate with suppliers, delivery companies, transport providers, and other logistics partners.
Track shipments and follow up on deliveries to ensure products arrive on time.
Assist with warehouse activities, including receiving, organizing, and dispatching products.
Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and logistics-related activities.
Support order fulfillment and ensure customer orders are processed and delivered efficiently.
Coordinate with the e-commerce and operations teams to ensure products are available when needed.
Assist in finding practical and cost-effective logistics and transportation solutions.
Maintain good communication with suppliers and logistics service providers.
Prepare basic logistics and inventory reports when required.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Assist with local and international purchasing and sourcing activities.
Support the company in coordinating import and export-related logistics when required.
Have a basic understanding of Ethiopian import and export procedures, customs processes, and relevant documentation.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Management, International Trade, or a related field.
Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, procurement, inventory, or a related area is preferred.
Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate with different suppliers and service providers.
Good attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records.
Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Office and Excel.
Good problem-solving and follow-up skills.
Knowledge of Ethiopian import and export processes is an advantage.
Good command of English and Amharic.
