We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will support daily accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, assisting with reconciliations, and preparing financial reports while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system accurately and promptly.
Prepare and process payment vouchers, receipts, invoices, journal entries, and other accounting documents.
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
Perform bank, cash, and account reconciliations on a regular basis.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions and follow up on outstanding balances.
Assist in payroll preparation and ensure accurate payroll-related accounting entries.
Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records for audit and reference purposes.
Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing required documentation.
Monitor petty cash transactions and prepare reconciliation reports.
Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
Identify and report financial discrepancies or irregularities to the supervisor.
Perform any other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.
Skills and Expertise
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
