Key Responsibilities

Design custom furniture such as kitchens, wardrobes, office furniture, and home furnishings.

Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models, and realistic renderings using CAD software.

Develop detailed shop drawings, cutting lists, and production drawings.

Visit project sites to take measurements and understand client requirements.

Select suitable materials, finishes, fittings, and hardware.

Coordinate with carpenters, engineers, and production staff during manufacturing.

Review prototypes and ensure quality and compliance with design specifications.

Prepare design presentations, cost estimates, and material specifications.

Stay up to date with furniture trends, building standards, and manufacturing techniques.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, cutting list,SolidWorks, or similar design software.

Strong knowledge of furniture materials, construction methods, and production processes.

Good communication, creativity, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Experience in furniture manufacturing or interior fit-out is often preferred.
