We are looking for a qualified, trustworthy, and detail-oriented Travel Agency Accountant with practical experience working in an IATA-accredited travel agency.

Main Responsibilities:

• Record and reconcile daily ticket sales, refunds, cancellations, and commissions.
• Reconcile BSP reports, airline statements, bank accounts, and supplier balances.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and supporting documents.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding client payments.
• Manage accounts payable and supplier settlements.
• Prepare payroll and maintain accurate employee payment records.
• Prepare VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax, and other statutory filings.
• Maintain organized and audit-ready financial records.
• Prepare monthly income, expense, cash-flow, and profitability reports.
• Coordinate with management, auditors, banks, airlines, and tax authorities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company and client financial information.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant accounting experience.
• Previous accounting experience in an IATA-accredited travel agency is mandatory.
• Practical knowledge of BSP reconciliation, ticketing transactions, airline payments, and travel-agency accounting.
• Good knowledge of Ethiopian tax regulations, payroll, VAT, and withholding tax.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong numerical accuracy, organization, honesty, and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work responsibly with minimal supervision.

Applicants must include the name of the travel agency where they previously worked, their experience with IATA/BSP reconciliation, the accounting software they have used, their expected salary, and their earliest available starting date.

Only applicants with relevant travel-agency accounting experience will be shortlisted.
