The role is part of a group-wide organization focused on identifying, coordinating, and managing risks and compliance weaknesses (1st Line of Defense). This position is required to support the Manager, Operational Risk and Compliance, to prevent significant reputational, financial, or other losses to the company and its clients.

2. Key Outputs and Responsibilities

Client/Compliance Focus

Monitor and report on compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
Assist in identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing regulatory requirements.
Support the implementation and monitor the execution of compliance procedures and controls.
Assist with ad hoc critical/significant risk investigations/projects.
Monitor and review risk incidents, breaches, and findings for reporting.
Review and monitor all frameworks, policies, standards, processes, and procedures.

People/Culture Focus

Embed company's culture, organizational values, and expected behaviors.
Develop strong relationships with key functions (Internal Audit, Risk, IT, etc.).
Support the Manager, Compliance, by driving awareness and knowledge growth.

Risk and Process Focus

Support the Manager with the execution of fit-for-purpose Risk and Compliance Management best practices.
Perform and coordinate assessments using the established risk management framework.
Proactively review and validate the adequacy and effectiveness of controls.
Support the execution of independent root-cause analysis on material incidents.
Support Business Resilience capability (Business Continuity Plan/BCP).

Financial Management

Ensure the documented Business Continuity Plan (BCP) is complete and comprehensive.
Monitor and review periodic BCP tests and report on business line continuity health.
Identify improvement opportunities to increase revenue or reduce operating costs.
Be cost-conscious while keeping company’s best interests at heart.

4. Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications

Education (Minimum Required)

BA degree in Law, Business Administration, or related fields.
Professional qualifications in risk, compliance, and/or business resilience (CISA/CISM/CRISC) are advantageous.

Experience (Minimum Required)

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the business industry, preferably including the financial and payment services industry.
Preferred focus on the development or implementation of risk management programs.
Meeting the competence and experience requirements for registration as a Compliance Officer with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority is highly advantageous.
Compliance experience within a call center environment is advantageous.

Ability to work with minimal supervision, exercise good judgment, and prioritize work in a changeable environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
