Job Vacancy: Junior Accountant

Position Title: Junior Accountant
Location: Addis Ababa
Employment Type: Full Time
Contract Duration: 3 Months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
Salary: Per the organization’s scale and depending on experience and qualifications

About the Role
Agora Consulting PLC is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to support accounting and tax compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating tax declarations, and related regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly tax declarations through the E-Tax system.
• Liaise with tax authorities and other regulatory bodies as required.
• Prepare supporting documentation for tax filings.
• Maintain accurate accounting and compliance records.
• Follow up on outstanding compliance requirements and regulatory approvals.
• Provide periodic status updates and reports on assigned tasks.
• Support other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Practical experience with the Ethiopian E-Tax system and tax declaration processes.
• Familiarity with company registration, and business licensing is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational and document management skills.
• Good communication and follow-up abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
