Responsibilities

Lead and oversee account balance control, reconciliation, and verification activities.
Ensure all balance sheet and relevant ledger accounts are accurately maintained and regularly reconciled.
Review account reconciliations and investigate unusual or outstanding balances.
Identify discrepancies, errors, and control weaknesses and ensure timely corrective action.
Establish and maintain effective account balance control procedures and guidelines.
Monitor aging and clearance of outstanding items and ensure appropriate follow-up.
Coordinate with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Operations, and other relevant departments to resolve reconciliation issues.
Review journal entries and supporting documentation related to account adjustments.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable financial reporting requirements.
Prepare regular account balance control reports and management summaries.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
Develop and monitor key control indicators and reconciliation performance metrics.
Lead and develop the account control team, including assigning responsibilities, reviewing performance, and providing coaching.
Support internal and external audits by providing required schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
Recommend process improvements, automation, and controls to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
Ensure proper documentation and audit trails are maintained for all account balance adjustments and reconciliations.
