Main responsibilities

Supervise furniture installation and assembly teams on site.

Read and interpret furniture drawings, layouts, and specifications.

Coordinate with clients, contractors, designers, and other site teams.

Ensure furniture is installed according to approved designs and quality standards.

Check measurements, materials, fittings, and workmanship.

Monitor daily progress and report site updates to management.

Manage workers, assign tasks, and ensure productivity.

Identify and resolve installation or site-related problems.

Ensure proper handling, storage, and protection of furniture materials.

Enforce health and safety procedures on site.

Prepare completion reports, snag lists, and handover documentation.

Ensure the site is clean and furniture is properly finished before handover.

Key skills

A Furniture Site Supervisor should have leadership, communication, problem-solving, time-management, technical drawing, furniture installation, and site coordination skills. Experience in carpentry, joinery, interior fit-out, or furniture installation is usually valuable.
