Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing equipment, materials, and services while ensuring all purchases comply with company standards and project timelines. You will play a key role in managing supplier relationships and optimizing the supply chain for our ongoing construction projects.

# Key Responsibilities

* Sourcing & Purchasing: Research, identify, and evaluate reliable vendors and suppliers for construction materials (e.g., cement, steel, finishing materials) and heavy machinery.

* Negotiation: Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms, pricing, and delivery schedules without compromising quality.

* Purchase Order Management: Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions.

* Inventory Coordination: Liaise with Site Managers and Project Engineers to understand material requirements and ensure timely delivery to various project sites.

* Quality Control: Ensure that all delivered goods meet the technical specifications and quality standards required for the project.

* **Compliance: Maintain compliance with local commercial laws and internal company procurement policies.

### Job Requirements

* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Civil Engineering.

* Experience: 4+ years of experience in procurement, specifically within the construction or engineering industry.

* Skills:

* Strong knowledge of construction materials and market prices.

* Proficiency in procurement software or ERP systems.

* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.

* Language: Fluency in Amharic and English is required.
