Job Description: Inventory (Warehouse) Officer

Position Summary

The Inventory (Warehouse) Officer is responsible for managing and controlling warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory records, and supporting production by maintaining timely availability of raw materials and finished goods. The role requires prior experience in inventory management, preferably within the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.

• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock checks and reconciliations.

• Ensure proper documentation of all warehouse transactions (GRNs, delivery notes, stock issue forms, etc.).

• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement and production teams to avoid shortages or overstocking.

• Implement and enforce warehouse safety standards and housekeeping practices.

• Supervise loading/unloading activities to ensure efficiency and prevent damage.

• Prepare periodic inventory reports for management review.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.

• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience in inventory/warehouse management, preferably in the manufacturing sector.

• Strong knowledge of inventory control systems.

• Good organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to lead and supervise warehouse staff effectively.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Competencies

• Knowledge of warehouse safety and compliance standards.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management system.

• Problem-solving and decision-making ability under pressure.

• Integrity and accountability in handling company assets.
