We are looking for a creative and data-driven Social Media Manager who can build and amplify our brand presence across all major platforms. You will own our social channels end to end — from crafting sharp copy and running paid campaigns to engaging the community and reporting on results. This is a hybrid role: you'll work most days remotely but join the

team in-person in Addis Ababa for weekly team meetings and other scheduled sessions.

The ideal candidate is a strong copywriter first, a paid ads expert second, and genuinely excited about being present whenever the moment calls for it — including outside standard

business hours.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute social media strategies across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
Write compelling, on-brand copy for posts, ads, stories, and captions — strong copywriting is a core requirement of this role.
Plan, launch, and optimize paid campaigns on Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Google Ads.
Monitor channels and engage with the community in real time, including outside standard business hours (24/7 availability expected).
Collaborate with design, content, and product teams to ensure consistent messaging.
Attend weekly in-person team meetings and other scheduled on-site sessions in Addis Ababa.
Track KPIs (reach, engagement, CTR, ROAS) and deliver regular performance reports with actionable insights.
Stay ahead of platform algorithm changes, trends, and best practices.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience managing social media accounts for a brand or agency.
Demonstrably strong copywriting skills — please include samples or a portfolio link in your application.
Proven experience running and optimizing paid ad campaigns on Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and Google Ads.
Comfortable with a 24/7 availability expectation and able to respond to urgent community or campaign issues promptly.
Based in or able to commute to Addis Ababa for weekly and occasional in-person meetings.
Proficiency with social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar).
Strong analytical mindset — able to read data, draw conclusions, and adjust strategy accordingly.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Amharic is a plus).
