Melostic Trading is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full-Time Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the overall financial operations of the company, including our bakery division operating under Melostic Trading.

This role requires a proactive professional capable of handling daily financial activities, ensuring compliance with Ethiopian financial regulations, and supporting management with accurate and timely financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

Record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses, and payments).
Manage and supervise daily financial activities of the bakery division under Melostic Trading, including:
- Tracking daily bakery sales and expenses
- Monitoring raw material purchases
- Managing cash collections and reconciliation
- Controlling bakery-related operational costs
Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts monthly.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist in tax preparation, including VAT, withholding tax, and income tax filings.
Maintain well-organized financial records and documentation.
Support management with budgeting and cash flow monitoring.
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations.
Coordinate with internal departments to verify financial data accuracy.

Qualifications & Requirements

BA Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience (experience in trading, retail, food production, or bakery operations is an advantage).
Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and reporting requirements.
Proficiency in Peachtree/Sage, ERP systems, or other accounting software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
Excellent communication and time-management skills.
Ability to independently manage full accounting operations.
