Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Workforce Planning • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes to meet headcount (HC) requirements. • Partner with operations to forecast staffing needs and plan hiring strategies. • Ensure timely hiring to meet operational targets and reduce recruitment turnaround time. • Manage employer branding and candidate experience.

2. Employee Relations & Engagement • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution. • Promote a positive work environment and strong employee engagement. • Conduct investigations and ensure fair and unbiased decision-making. • Support initiatives to reduce attrition and improve retention.

3. Performance Management • Oversee performance management processes (KPIs, reviews, PIPs). • Guide managers on coaching, feedback, and corrective actions. • Ensure consistency and fairness in performance evaluations.

4. Attendance, Leave & Discipline • Monitor absenteeism, tardiness, and attendance trends. • Implement strategies to reduce absenteeism and improve adherence. • Ensure proper leave management and compliance with policies. • Enforce disciplinary procedures were required.

5. HR Operations & Compliance • Ensure compliance with Ethiopian labor law and internal policies. • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation. • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes. • Manage contracts, probation reviews, and confirmations.

6. Training & Development • Identify training needs and coordinate learning initiatives. • Support onboarding and continuous development programs. • Work with managers to build capability within teams.

7. Compensation & Benefits • Support payroll processes and ensure accuracy. • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (tax, benefits). • Assist in compensation, benchmarking and incentive structures.

8. HR Reporting & Analytics • Prepare monthly HR reports (attrition, absenteeism, HC, etc.). • Analyze trends and provide insights to management. • Track KPIs and recommend data-driven improvements.

9. Stakeholder Management • Partner with operations, finance, and leadership teams. • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on HR matters. • Ensure alignment between HR and business objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.

• 5–8+ years of HR experience (BPO experience is an advantage).

• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian labor law.

• Experience handling high-volume recruitment and employee relations.

• Strong leadership and people management skills.

• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).

• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
