We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Recruitment and Training & Development to lead and strengthen our talent acquisition and employee growth initiatives.Oversee and manage the full operational performance of the Ethiopia Recruitment & development training team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition Strategy & Delivery

∙Lead recruitment and training operations aligned with business and client needs.

Ensure efficient, compliant processes and strong candidate experience.
Drive innovative sourcing, employer branding, and data-driven hiring improvements.
Embed diversity, equity, and inclusion in all hiring practices.

2. Training & Programme Excellence

Oversee delivery of training aligned with industry and client expectations.
Continuously improve curriculum and measure training effectiveness.
Maintain high facilitation standards and apply data-driven improvements.

3. Candidate Journey Management

Manage the full candidate lifecycle to training readiness.
Ensure development of technical, professional, and behavioural skills.
Improve engagement, retention, and completion rates, addressing at-risk candidates early.

4. Leadership & Team Development

Lead, coach, and develop recruitment and training teams.
Set performance standards and foster a culture of accountability and improvement.
Build internal capability and succession pipelines.

5. Stakeholder & Client Management

Partner with stakeholders to align strategies with business needs.
Act as a trusted advisor and present solutions to clients.
Drive engagement and continuous improvement of talent pipelines.

6. Quality & Continuous Improvement

Implement QA frameworks and monitor performance metrics.
Drive process optimisation, innovation, and alignment with client outcomes.

7. Financial & Operational Management

Manage budgets and optimise cost-to-hire and operational efficiency.
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
Support workforce planning and resource allocation.

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, or related field.
5 years’ experience in Recruitment, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, or related functions.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership or management role.
Experience managing large teams and multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong experience within a BPO / Contact Centre / Outsourced operations environment

Preferred

∙HR or Recruitment certification.

∙Experience designing and delivering training programmes.

∙Experience working with applicant tracking systems, candidate portals, and recruitment technology.

∙Experience presenting talent strategies to senior stakeholders and clients.
