Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to oversee our kitchen operations

during the day shift. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of meal preparation, kitchen staff supervision, and quality control to ensure guests enjoy exceptional dining experiences. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in planning, directing, and supervising kitchen operations.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high quality standards.
Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
Collaborate on menu planning, recipe development, and cost control.
Handle kitchen operations during the Head Chef’s absence.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
Address and resolve any issues that arise during food preparation or service.
Support in managing budgets, portion control, and minimizing waste.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef, preferably in a high-volume kitchen.
COC Level 4 Certificate in Food Preparation or equivalent culinary certification.
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage kitchen staff.
Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Creativity in menu planning, presentation, and recipe development.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
