The Import & Export Documentation Officer will handle all documentation processes for import and export shipments. The role ensures compliance with Ethiopian customs regulations, smooth cargo clearance, and accurate preparation of trade documents for both export and import operations.

1. Import Documentation

Prepare import documentation
Coordinate with Banks , freight forwarders and customs clearing agents in Ethiopia
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian import regulations and licensing requirements

2. Export Documentation

Prepare export documents
Coordinate with suppliers, cooperatives, and exporters for product readiness and documentation accuracy
Work closely with Ethiopian Customs Commission and inspection bodies

3. Customs & Regulatory Compliance

Ensure all shipments comply with Ethiopian customs laws and international trade regulations
Follow up on duty payments, tax clearance, and import/export permits
Resolve delays, documentation issues, or clearance problems quickly

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 3 years’ Experience in import/export documentation (preferred in Ethiopian trade environment)
Proficiency in English (Amharic is an advantage for local coordination)
Ability to handle multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
Basic computer skills (Excel, email communication, document management systems)
Strong communication and coordination abilities
