Job Summary As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Orbit, you will take full ownership of product quality and the end-to-end testing lifecycle. This role involves both manual and automated testing, with a strong focus on ensuring reliability, performance, and usability. You will design and execute comprehensive test strategies, perform performance testing, and identify, track, and validate defects. You will also monitor key quality metrics and work closely with the engineering team to continuously improve build, testing, and deployment processes.

Responsibilities

Own and execute end-to-end test plans, test cases, and test strategies Perform manual and automated testing, including performance and regression testing Identify, document, validate, and track defects, bugs, and usability issues Monitor quality metrics to ensure platform stability and reliability Collaborate with software engineers to define and refine CI/CD and release processes Maintain, improve, and scale testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies

Key Qualifications

Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, QA processes, and testing methodologies Proven experience, owning and leading quality for a full application or functional area Hands-on experience creating test plans, building test frameworks, and executing both manual and automated tests Experience designing, writing, and automating test cases using Node.js, Java, or similar languages for UI and lower-level testing Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving software development environment Ability to communicate effectively across teams, manage dependencies, and meet tight timelines Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and critical-thinking skills, especially in defect prioritization 2+ years of work experience
