Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end closing processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger Management: Assist in maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts (e.g., cash, prepaids, accruals).
Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, obtain approvals, and schedule payments.
Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate customer invoices, apply cash receipts, and assist with collections follow-up.
Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Month-End Close: Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
Sales Tax: Assist in preparing monthly/quarterly sales tax filings.
Audit Support: Pull supporting documents and schedules for external auditors.
Filing & Compliance: Maintain organized digital and physical financial records.
Data Entry: Accurately enter financial transactions into the accounting system (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Xero).

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
Experience: 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience (internships count).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with at least one accounting software.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and professional communication.
Knowledge: Basic understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is preferred.
